The camping area is 86km from the Eurong township on the Eurong Road 94km from the Wanggoolba Creek barge landing on Wanggoolba Road and 800m from the Central Station day-use area. Wathumba camping area is also located on the Western side of Fraser Island but its a park and walk-in camping area set behind the foredunes.
